More than a school.
What is it actually like to study at BIBS? In a word: life changing. But don’t take our word for it. Here is the story of life at BIBS, told with the help of the people who have lived it, in their own words.
First, a spiritual school.
BIBS is a school of the Bible, but the lessons do not stop at information. The Word is taught in the power of the Holy Spirit, and prayer and fasting are woven into the life of the school. Students come to study the Scriptures and find the Scriptures studying them.

“There were times during lessons that the transforming power of God’s Word brought tears to my eyes. The Word of God truly proved to be sweeter than honey. BIBS is an opportunity to develop intimacy with God. BIBS provided a stable, nurturing and familial setting that allowed me to flourish in God.”
“How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth.”
Psalm 119:103 · KJVA family, not just a class.
Ask our students what they remember and they rarely start with the syllabus. They talk about the people: teachers who give their time freely, and classmates who become lifelong friends in the Word. Students join from every Apostolic organisation and every Christian denomination, and find a family waiting.
“We are so pleased to say that we have found BIBS to be an oasis. It’s a place where the Word of God is revealed in abundance. We have left challenged, enriched and motivated for further and higher study in the Word of God.
The teachers, to me, are exceptional, not the norm; they are fully equipped. They are an inspiration. BIBS is money well spent, no regrets! It’s the best investment you can make, so go for it. God bless you.”
A life changing experience.
Our students tell us the same thing, year after year: you cannot go to BIBS and leave the same way. Some arrive simply wanting to know their Bible better, and find that God uses the school to reshape their whole walk with Him.
“I enrolled at BIBS with the desire to gain a fundamental understanding of the Word of God. It was not long before I realised how little I actually knew about the God that I served.
Admittedly, there have been some ups and downs, sweat and tears and even some long sleepless nights, but I can truly say that studying at BIBS has been an amazing experience. It has gone far beyond obtaining knowledge; Jesus Christ has used the school, the lecturers, the assignments, prayers and fasting to help shape the character that I have become…
I have by no means reached where Christ wants me to be but simply knowing that he loves me and has not given up on me, gives me a sense of peace and determination to be more like him each day.”

A place of spiritual growth.
We will be honest with you: growth takes work. The rhythm of lessons, study at home and assignments asks something of every student. But our students say the same thing about the cost: it is worth it, many times over.
“When I think back to when I enrolled at BIBS, two years ago, I hardly recognise myself. I have grown so much spiritually that it’s hard to comprehend.
I won’t deny that it’s been tough and perhaps one of the hardest things I’ve done but in return for that hard work, I’ve grown so much stronger in Christ. I now appreciate who I am in Christ and what being a child of God means.
I would definitely encourage others to do the course; my only advice would be to ensure that you’re able to fully commit to it, as it was challenging for me.”
“Having attended the BIBS Foundation Course, I personally have been spiritually awakened and taken to a much higher level than I could have ever known. The depth and height to which I have grown as a child of God is a blessing.
The spiritual food that I have been served at BIBS has sustained me and opened up my desire; I just want more of God on a daily basis. The teaching that I have received has been a blessing and for that I thank you all.
I truly have received my daily bread from this wonderful experience and will surely return again to sit at that same table and feast upon the Word of the one ‘True and Living God’.”
A place where everyone thrives.
New convert or seasoned minister, eighteen or eighty, BIBS meets every learner at their level. Lessons are online, so students join from across the UK and beyond, part-time, around real lives. Whether it is the Foundation Course, the Certificate, or a Short Course, there is a place at the table for you.

“As a new convert, this course has helped me see through new eyes just how amazing my God is! Attending BIBS has given me the structure and routine I needed to consistently read God’s holy Word.
I have a closer connection with God and I can honestly say, I feel blessed and the small sacrifice made to attend each month has been worth it! Thank you to all the teachers; the teaching has enabled us to grow in Christ. God Bless You!”
“After a strong desire to study the Word of God academically, I was very happy to have found this course at BIBS.
I became aware of the college through a friend who also desired to study. We visited BIBS to get advice and information but not necessarily to enrol. Once I received the information and advice, I was satisfied that I had finally found what I had been looking for: the right place to study the Word of God.
I enrolled on the Foundation Course studying the events of the Old Testament to the New Testament. Now I have a deeper understanding of the Bible and view it in a new and fresh way. The course has helped me to see the events of the Bible come to life in full colour; connecting the plan of God from the Old to the New Testament.
I give God thanks for all the teachers who are all very well versed and able to dissect the Word and present it with Godly professionalism. I have also met some amazing people who I have enjoyed studying with. I thank the Lord also for His direction that led me to BIBS.”
And after BIBS?
For many of our students, study is only the beginning. BIBS graduates go on to pastor churches, lead national ministries, teach Sunday schools and serve their assemblies across the UK and beyond.
