God’s school, for all who seek His Word.
BIBS is the theological education arm of Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic (UK). An Apostolic Bible school committed to the ministry of teaching His Word faithfully, in the power of the Holy Spirit, by gifted teachers called to edify and equip the Body of Christ.
Purpose, vision and mission.
Purpose
To reveal the Lord Jesus Christ through the ministry of teaching.
Vision
That the Body of Christ would never lack anointed and qualified teachers of the Word.
Mission
To edify the Body of Christ. To provide in-depth knowledge of the Bible. To equip souls for life and ministry.
Teaching the saints since 1994.
Founded by Bethel to train teachers of the Word.
Recognised Centre for AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group.
Moved fully online – students join from across the UK and beyond.
Teaching saints of every age, across the UK and beyond.
From Institute to School – always BIBS.
When the School was established in 1994, it was founded as the Bethel Institute of Biblical Studies. In time the registered name became the Bethel School of Biblical Studies – yet to students and saints alike it was only ever known, affectionately, as BIBS.
The name has remained with us, and today it carries a meaning we hold dear: Biblical Instruction Builds Saints. It is, we believe, a fitting summary of all that the School has been called to do.
